I blurred out the content cos my sentences were full of grammar errors. And it totally didn’t sound like me. Sounded like a kid. Come to think of it, I just finished my A levels end of 1995!!! I probably wasn’t even 19 when I wrote the card. It’s no wonder that I sounded a little young. Look at those cute stamps on the cards. Hahah. But kinda cool to look at the card so many years later.

Then Roy sent me another photo and I look so fat!!! But this was taken in the recent few years. O man… I looked fat. I wonder if I look fatter than this now cos I am at my all time heaviest weight. :p

Oli complimented me for my admin but administration is not naturally my gift. I really dislike admin briefing seriously… I mean after so many years, I still don’t like a bit of doing admin briefing. Not even a tiny bit of it. So I’m quite sure it’s not my gift. But it’s my calling to serve God. So anything goes I guess.

At the end of the day, I just wanna praise Him for all that He is!

As you can see from the picture above… I own 3 liquid eyeliners from different brands as I’m looking for one that is black enough and economical as well. Here’s my 2 cents worth on the 3 different ones that I have.

MAC:
It’s black enough when I first used it. The “blackness” however deteriorated. I believe it’s probably because the felt tip had harden from the drying of the liquid that goes through the felt tip. (I hope I’m making sense). So it kinda lost me after a while cos it’s too much effort trying to make the lines dark enough. Cost was about S$40 if my memory did not fail me.

Dior:
It’s black enough actually as you can see from the picture as well. But liquid that comes out is too much if i turn one dial more and too little without the extra turn. And it’s rather pricey. I think $55-$60. So I’ve been looking for cheaper alternatives.

Relvon:
I heard of this somewhere and I thought to just give it a try since it’s only $19. First day of use was rather impressive. It’s indeed black… But after just a few days (less than a week), the blackness is fading… Almost the same case with MAC. And there is a weird smell that reminds me of whiteboard marker!!!

I did a wipe off test twice. And in both cases, Relvon was the hardest to come off. After all, it’s Revlon Color Stay, right? But when I looked closer, it left a faint mark on my hand that really looks like marker stain left on the whiteboard… A bit of a shock to me. I have decided not to use it as of now. I certainly do not want my eyelids to be “tattooed”. But it could probably be that I have sensitive skin and I’m sensitive to the ingredients in the product. Many people raved about Revlon ColorStay. Good for them that they have a cheap alternative while I probably have to burn a hole in my pocket cos of sensitive skin…

Now about the Make Up For Ever liner that I tried at Sephora. I tried rubbing it with dry fingers at different times. It doesn’t come off at all. I am quite impressed. So after many hours, I tried using water and I rubbed off the first line quite easily. It came off in pieces. You can see that in the picture as well. So I am kinda happy that it’s not absorbed into the skin and add to my pigmentation like the Revlon liner. But I am not decided to buy Make Up For Ever liner yet. Will continue to try other liners while using the Dior liner sparingly. Hope I get to find a cheaper alternative soon.

At this point, I could only say that it’s reminding us not to be working in the ways of the world in the way we relate to and handle the less fortunates. But I know I am not satisfied by this “answer”. Let me just wait on Him in the spirit for an answer.

I appreciate that Robbie made the effort to come and look for us for fellowship after he finished his security ministry duty. Set me thinking about making efforts. Of course, I have the ever faithful Jeff and Mengru as well.

Received a message from Mengru to thank me. But frankly, I have much to thank her for too. Having people that stick around certainly encourage me greatly in ministry. She has stuck around long enough to spur me on to keep serving and loving people. Reminding me that whatever I do, they are all worthwhile.

Happy Birthday Weiling!

Back to work after the CNY break and it seems like my body wasn’t back. Haha. Was in a daze most of the time I think. I didn’t sleep well. Had a terrible nightmare and I could still remember the last scene of how I was “binding” and pleading the blood of Jesus intensely. And I was crawling for my life. After that I couldn’t sleep well and woke up a few times. But somehow, I feel happy. The images still in my mind. And I am trying to recall the face of the kid almost wrapped away in the waves. But I think the man I saw that grabbed hold of her managed to save her ultimately, or at least that was what I felt it was. Anyway, I’m just very happy that God is a good God and He never fails.

Should have taken a lot of photos but I was a bit unwell and not feeling too good (upset to be exact). Or I’m probably just too tired from too much gatherings, feasting and meeting people. Tomorrow, it’s back to work and I hope I won’t be moody anymore.
